Spiritual Feast of Praise
Sunday, August 26 at 10:15 am
FIRST and SECOND services will join for a spiritual feast of praises to God through enlivening words, uplifting music and various dishes of appetizing foods. Please bring a dish to share. Invite your family and friends. Come as you are. We're saving a place just for you.

Gentle Yoga
Tuesday September 4, 6:30-7:30 pm
UMW invites you to join us in an introduction to gentle yoga in Fellowship Hall. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, otherwise a blanket will work. Anyone is welcome.

The 3rd Annual Mendota Community School Block Party Saturday, August 25 from 1:00-4:00 pm
This will be a fun family event that will bring a variety of resources to not just Mendota families, but also the north-side.

Open Covers Book Club
September 5, 6:30 pm
Open Covers will discuss "The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir" by Kao Kalia Yang at 6:30 pm in the youth room.

Summer Musicians Wanted
We extend our warmest thanks-you to Barbara Zanoni and the choir for their diligence and all the wonderful music they have provided this year. Girl Scouts
Is your second grade daughter interested in Girl Scouts? We meet twice a month on Monday evenings. We also will do fun activities like roller skating, science events and swimming over the summer at Goodman. Here are some of the badges we do: playing games, healthy snacks, pets, painting, bugs, my family and more. We have a second grade Brownie troop looking to add girls. Food Pantry
The gold cart in Fellowship Hall is for donation to the Bashford UMC Food Pantry. Please help those less fortunate.

Are you interested in Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry to others in need going through difficult circumstances in their lives. We are looking to start a weekly class in January on Saturday afternoons. Class is a great opportunity to grow in listening and caregiving skills and to grow new friendships. Please consider this unique opportunity!
