Outreach & Missions

"Christian Discipleship is patterned after the servant hood of Jesus, who cared for the sick, fed the hungry, and befriended the outcast.“ (BOD 2012, page 183)

The United Methodist Church Believes In:
Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors…

We Open Our Hearts by visiting the sick and homebound of our congregation. We also visit with prospective members. We provide an evening and morning meal to men at a local homeless shelter every fourth weekend on even numbered months. We collect food and funds for a local food pantry. We support the Bayview Senior Bingo and Kajsiab House for Seniors.

We Open Our Minds by opening our church to various groups as a meeting place. We host a Multicultural Day every year that is open to the community.

We Open Our Doors by Chartering Boy and Girl Scout troops, Other activities include a Rummage Sale & Bake Sale in January along with the annual Reunion for Women’s Week. First Saturday in October we host a Bake Sale, Bazaar and Ham Dinner.
